Rugby league and Sport in general in the "year 2000" has taken new directions and the Bartercard Noosa Pirates Rugby League
Inc. have identified the changes needed to continue growth and to stay competitive.
Our club will from, 2000 onwards set the Bartercard Noosa Pirates Rugby League club as a "District/Region Rugby League
Development club, entering teams in the Sunshine Coast & Gympie Rugby League Senior and Junior competitions which will
compete in age groups A'Grade down to U/7's and running them as Development teams for (NRL) and (Qld. State League) clubs,
also our already agreed association with (NRL) St. George/Illawarra Dragons, and Wynnum Seagulls (QSL) club will give
enormous opportunity for all in our club and from around the region and the State.
The goals of the Bartercard Noosa Pirates "Sportsco Noosaville Rugby League Junior Development Program" will be to identify
foster and develop local and outlying area young players to create possible opportunities in a sporting career, and
employment. The "Rugby League Academy 12-17 yr olds (20 players) will be run in conjunction with the "Rugby League School of
Excellence" Year 11 & 12 Noosa State High (20 students) and our "Joint Association" with St. Gearge/Illawarra Dragons in
hosting the Annual /Win TV Noosa Shield Talent Identification Trials with club teams from local region and around the state
invited to participate. Other development program projects are to further offer "Elite" level training and development of the
standard required to pursue higher level careers in the sport of Rugby League.

To negotiate with appropriate bodies to establish the full functions of the Noosa District Rugby League Inc. "Junior
Development Programs", Sportsco Noosaville Rugby League Academy
and Sportsco Noosaville Rugby League School of Excellence Noosa
State High School.
Noosa Rugby League Sportsco Noosaville Rugby League Academy:
To negotiate and cooperate with local community groups/organizations/persons throughout the district to implement a plan to
upgrade and fully develop opportunities for development training/programs in the code of Rugby League under Appointed Coach
ARL Level (3) Mr Ron Greentree (teacher) Noosa State High School and Coaching/Development Director Mr. Steve Woods
St.George/Illawarra Dragons (NRL) "Joint Association" Talent/Development
Coordinator/Bartercard Noosa Pirates Coaching/Development coordinator Level (1) ARL - NACC and Level (3) ASSM. and Joe Cerillo Junior Development Manager.
To identify young players from U/12's to U/17's from Noosa and surrounds and place them in the "Noosa Pirates Rugby League
Junior Development Program", to further develop Training, Knowledge and Skill to "Elite" level standard in the sport of Rugby
League all Noosa Rugby League/Sportsco Noosaville Junior Development Program members are to continue training and playing
duties with their clubs and school along with all other representative duties when required. Players will be required to
attend all Noosa Rugby League Sportsco Noosaville Junior Development Program training sessions (at this moment once each
fortnight on the morning of a Bartercard Noosa Pirates home match.), all functions/promotions etc. as directed by the coach
Mr. Ron Greentree and the program Director Mr. Steve Woods and J.D.P. Manager Joe Cirillo.
Noosa Rugby League Sportsco Noosaville School of Excellence Noosa State High School year 11 and 12:
To offer opportunity to students in the learning and studies of the code of Rugby League by having opportunity to participate
in courses for Level (1) Coaching Certificates, Sports Medicine accreditation etc. and participating in the
"Noosa Rugby League/Sportsco Noosaville Rugby School of Excellence" study class/courses at the Noosa District State High School Year 11 &
12. (Qld Education Dept approved).
